About The Position

Are you passionate about aviation and want to learn more about airfield operations? Are you familiar with the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 139? DFW Airport is excited to offer a 10-week long summer internship with our Airfield Operations team. As an Airfield/Airport Operations Intern, you will work on various projects related to creating and auditing procedures and documentations for our Airfield Operations department. Interested? Requirements

  • Must be an active student in a bachelor's degree program in Airport management, Airport Aviation Operations, Operations, business management or aviation related degrees.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from one of the following universities: University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, or University of Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or present written, oral, and electronic presentations to management staff.
  • Participate in a variety of professional development activities providing practical experience in the application of academic skills toward the solution of business problems.
  • Participate in project work assisting department professionals developing procedures, performing financial, operational, or business analysis, or developing/evaluating performance measures.
  • May compile business or operational data; assist in forecasting activity levels; assist in developing business solutions to department or organizational problems.
