US Product is responsible for developing, managing and positioning Franklin Templeton’s products distributed in the US including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, collective investment trusts, retail models, custom indices and 529 plans. In addition, the team is responsible for implementing product actions related to ETFs and alternative investments. The team collaborates with Franklin Templeton’s Specialist Investment Managers (SIMs) and the US Sales team to pursue long term growth and efficiencies with respect to Franklin Templeton’s product set. US Product is a strategic partner within US Distribution responsible for creating the product strategy for retail and institutional sales, which includes defining and implementing the product shelf offerings available in the US. The summer intern will be a key part of project teams working to integrate fund board policies aimed at saving millions of dollars annually for FT and bidding on opportunities involving billions in assets. Additionally, the summer intern will assist with projects related to optimizing and integrating our product offerings.
Requirements
- Business, Marketing, or Finance major
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Curious nature with a willingness and eagerness to learn
- Skilled in relationship building and collaboration
- Data analysis expertise
Responsibilities
- Assist Product Management and Positioning with product optimization research and board proposals using industry tools and leveraging industry data
- Help Product Strategy with product data reporting and management reporting
- Support product governance committees and track product lifecycle actions across vehicles
