Summer Associate Program Overview: The Truist Securities Summer Associate Program will run for approximately 10 weeks in the summer months. Job Description: The Summer Associate program provides the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of disciplines within investment banking. Summer Associates will sharpen financial analysis skills, develop an understanding of corporate markets and clients, and gain experience in corporate finance and with investment banking products through on-the-job training. Within each group, Summer Associates play a meaningful role in supporting internal and external clients. As an integral member of the team, Associates play a meaningful role in new business development, due diligence, and transaction execution. Associates work with senior professionals to identify and evaluate opportunities and then meet with and present to prospective clients. Associates must demonstrate a mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation or review of in-depth financial models involved in transactions. Associates are also charged with drafting internal and external documents and marketing materials utilized in transactions. Associates often take a lead role in executing transactions and working with clients, attorneys, investors, interested parties and other senior professionals on a daily basis. As a result, strong organizational, communication and leadership skills are necessary to be effective in the position. Candidates who receive a Houston, TX Investment Banking Summer Associate will be placed in our Energy Group. The annual base salary for this position is $175,000. Location: Truist Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices throughout the U.S. in cities including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. The Summer Associates hired under this position will be placed in Houston, TX.
