About The Position

RTX is looking for a Systems Engineer to support the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems Business Unit. The LADS SBU provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance. This is an onsite role in McKinney, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
  • Strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience in using AI/ML and signal processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing system performance data with respect to requirements
  • Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions
  • Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers and internal leadership
  • Defining and updating concept of operations (CONOPS)
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams in support of development of a missile defense system
  • Apply Project Management principles, including action tracking, status reporting, task monitoring, and risk management
  • Facilitate professional meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, solving challenges and driving project progress
  • Maintain project plans, status updates, and action items, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals
