About The Position

The Nursing Internship is a skill-based, paid position providing opportunities to gain valuable clinical skills while enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Under the direct supervision of a licensed RN, the nurse intern performs routine and technical aspects of nursing care to patients of all ages. The nurse intern adheres to the established scope of practice while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. The nurse intern contributes to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment that fosters healing and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
  • Completion of junior year of a Bachelor's Nursing Program or 2 clinical semesters of an Associates Nursing Program, graduating no later than the following June after the internship.
  • Enrolled in a nursing co-operative internship course for the summer 2025 semester.
  • Must be able to commit to 30-36 hours/week.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with full/part-time summer class loads will have adjusted hour requirements and must be able to commit to 32 hours every two weeks.
