About The Position

Stengel Hill is a full-service architecture and interior design firm with offices in Tampa Bay, FL, Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY & Nashville, TN. We specialize in the design of complex healthcare, municipal, commercial, and educational facilities, and proudly support a collaborative team of 90+ Architectural and Interior Design staff. Since our founding in 1996, we’ve built a reputation for thoughtful, client-focused design and a strong, supportive workplace culture. We are seeking motivated Architectural Interns to work collaboratively in our Lexington, KY office, in a team environment, performing design and technical production of documents in Revit and AutoCAD through all phases of architecture.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Architecture or a closely related field.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, SketchUp and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the Adobe Suite and additional Autodesk products a plus.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to complete projects on time, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of an effective team, assisting and supporting team members.
  • Desire to learn, accept direction, and be mentored
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to build good relationships, both internally and externally, with integrity, respect, humor, and a sense of responsibility

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the Adobe Suite and additional Autodesk products a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and technical development of meaningful architectural projects by collaborating with integrated project teams and learning from experienced architects and designers across all phases of practice.
  • Perform redline changes and revisions.
  • Assist with contract administration responsibilities.
  • Assist in field verification, including field measurement & record documentation.
  • Product research.
  • Maintaining timely, effective and honest communications.
  • Additional duties may be asked upon management’s request.
