About The Position

PEF is looking for experienced educators who have a passion for supporting students! An RTI/Wellness Teacher for PEF’s Summer Enrichment Program will work closely with our Site Coordinator to best meet the learning, behavior, wellness, and social needs of each student. Our 5-week morning program primarily serves elementary and middle school students, though RTI/Wellness Teachers will also support our smaller number of high-school Summer Youth Leader volunteers. PEF Summer 2026 runs from June 15 - July 16, 2026, Monday - Thursday. Successful RTI/Wellness Teacher candidates must be available for the entire program. Our program will be hosted at select PUSD school campuses (specific sites TBD). Please note: Both current PUSD and non-PUSD employees are welcome to apply. Prior employment by PEF does not guarantee a position for the 2026 summer program. Employment is dependent upon verification and timely completion, before the program starts, of all mandated payroll tax (W-4, DE4) and employment eligibility (I-9) forms, a background check, and other payroll onboarding tasks that may be assigned. Teachers must commit to 5 working hours per day, Monday through Thursday mornings, for the entire 5-week program from June 15 to July 16, 2026. Exact times TBD. This is a temporary, part-time position that does not include paid time off or benefits.
