TEAM OVERVIEW: Applied Materials’ AGS Coatings and Materials team is searching for an intern to join our team in Spring/Summer 2026. AGS Coatings and Materials is responsible for coatings development, ceramics parts development, and solutions for field issues.

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Master, or Ph.D. degree program in Science or engineering area, e.g. Materials, Chemicals and Physics etc.
  • Hands on experience on Materials characterization.
  • Familiar with materials processing.
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with laboratory projects and develop analysis methods for complicated issues.
  • Conduct parts and materials analysis, like SEM, Laser Microscope, and other analysis tools.
  • Work with project owners and conduct communication HW development, troubleshooting, and functionality test
  • Support experiment data acquisition and processing, and report.
