The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge! Workcloud Sync provides synchronous, real-time collaboration, allowing frontline workers across various industries to effectively communicate and seamlessly work together. The product engineering team uses cutting edge technologies including golang, Java Spring Boot, Alloy DB, Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform and builds the product using a microservices architecture.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between 2026-2027 for undergraduate students and 2026-2028 for graduate students
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Good understanding of programming and technology
  • Understanding of Software Engineering practices
  • Understanding of Relational Databases
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and data structures
  • Prior experience in Java Spring Boot or golang
  • Experience in working with Google Cloud Platform or AWS
  • Hands on knowledge of developing Android/iOS mobile applications, preferably using Flutter
  • Exposure in working with large language models
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist product engineering team in day to day product research and development
  • Write code using TDD framework based upon provided requirements
  • Analyze system performance to identify and implement improvements
  • Research new technologies and innovate how they can be integrated in the Workcloud Sync product
  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
