About The Position

This role is based out of the Outpost, our Portland, Oregon office. The application window will be open until November 7 or until we reach our cap of 100 applicants. Beginning November 10, we will review applications and move selected candidates through our interview process with the goal of having all interns identified no later than the end of the year. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program and not due to graduate the semester prior to the internship.
• Currently studying data analytics, computer science or similar fields.
• Experience or exposure with coding languages like SQL, Spark or Python.
• Data visualization experience through PowerBI, Tableau or Excel.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Proficient in a team dynamic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the business initiative to modernize TCCA’s data environment.
• Join a SCRUM team of senior data professionals working on developing a central data warehouse in Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate with business partners for requirements gathering and understanding reporting needs.
• Translate reporting needs into technical solutions.
• Engage in data modelling, data ingestion, data governance, predictive analytics, machine learning, and Power BI report development.
• Participate in SCRUM team meetings like daily stand up, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Shadow senior developers to gain insights into varying career paths in data & analytics.
• Build relationships with key business partners and learn about the data stewardship program.
• Troubleshoot or investigate broken code or reports.
