  • Perform MIS related duties assigned per department under general supervision.
  • Assist with the deployment of ensemble machine learning methods, deep learning, and advanced optimization techniques.
  • Leverage research skills to test hypotheses and draw insights to support resource-efficient copper mining.
  • Support the build, implementation, and maintenance of analytical assets using statistical methodologies.
  • Utilize modern cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, to deliver innovative analytics solutions.
  • Currently enrolled full-time (at the sophomore level or above) at an accredited four-year university pursuing a degree in MIS, Computer Technology, Analytics or closely related field; OR recent graduate with a degree in the same fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must demonstrate core values of Safety, Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Commitment.
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis.
  • Ability to build complex predictive models using Python, R or other analytical environments.
  • Background in breaking down problem statements into root causes and tailoring solutions.
  • Estimated pay range of $28.25 - $35.25/hour based on education and experience.
