About The Position

Are you looking for an exciting paid summer internship experience? Our Engineering Team is launching a new internship program to support our anticipated growth. Our summer program combines challenging work experience and the opportunity to work closely with our team members! You will assist Engineers/Technicians on Capital and O&M projects.

Requirements

  • A sophomore, Junior or Senior
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in an ABET accredited Engineering program, including Mechanical, Civil, Materials Science, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer Engineering, or Natural Gas Petroleum
  • Proven organizational and analytical skills in order to be able to analyze processes, make recommendations, monitor the effectiveness of the department and provide future direction and guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be able to provide effective change-management leadership that will effectuate change to support the region's business strategy.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.
  • Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.
  • Must adhere to Company policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in providing overall engineering support for distribution piping systems, customer measurement, plant improvement, and data analysis projects.
  • Provide engineering assistance for the development of new or updating of existing O&M procedures and Construction Standards.
  • Provide engineering support on other company projects, specifications, and procedures, as required.
  • Assist engineers by providing administrative and project specific documentation organization.
  • Assist engineers to perform greenhouse gas improvement processes.
  • Assist engineers with gathering field data.
  • Participate in site visits to company facilities, potentially including active construction projects.
