The 2026 Summer Intern - Technology Group - Sophomore position at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York offers undergraduate sophomores the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through dynamic, project-based work assignments and professional development activities. Interns will work full-time onsite for ten weeks, contributing to meaningful work that impacts the lives of all Americans. The Technology Group is responsible for strategic planning and provisioning of automation services, including application development, data architecture, and information security. Interns will have access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and learning events with senior leaders.

  • Work on technology tasks in areas such as information security, data management, software development, business operations, or end user services.
  • Code software and test code.
  • Prepare and manage data.
  • Conduct competitive analyses and research for the Bank's technology teams.
  • Analyze current and new technology architecture designs.
  • Implement and deploy applications across multiple environments.
  • Demonstrated interest in computer science, information systems, application development, or business technology.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic programming skills in one or more areas: Java, JavaScript, SQL, Scala, Python, HTML/CSS.
