The 2026 Summer Intern - Subscription Finance & Services (SF&S) position is part of the Commercial Summer Internship Program at Citizens Bank, designed to provide interns with exposure to the bank's culture and various commercial banking business lines through project-based assignments, learning curriculum, networking, volunteer opportunities, and formal mentorship. Interns will work within the Subscription Finance & Services portfolio management team, which oversees private equity fund relationships and applies credit policy related to subscription lines of credit. The internship lasts for 10 weeks, starting in May 2026, and high performers may receive early consideration for the Commercial Banker Development Program (CBDP).

  • Work as part of a commercial client coverage deal team.
  • Assist in underwriting and portfolio management responsibilities including financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and preparation of credit approval requests.
  • Monitor client reporting for accuracy including financial statements and covenant compliance certificates.
  • Conduct credit analysis and prepare deal screening memos and annual reviews of existing client relationships.
  • Learn and prepare financial models and written financial analysis.
  • Conduct industry research and prepare summaries of industry issues and competitive environment.
  • Perform market analysis and assist in developing commercial client prospect lists.
  • Work with Relationship Managers to prepare client presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings, capital markets calls, and broader commercial banking calls.
  • Engage in deal screen presentations and credit approval meetings.
  • Network within the commercial bank and inquire about specific roles.
  • Complete other tasks and special projects as required.
  • Current students enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor's program, graduating between Winter 2026 - Spring 2027 OR current students enrolled in a graduate program, graduating between Winter 2026 - Spring 2027.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2; Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5.
  • Relevant work experience, leadership experience, or coursework in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be a U.S. Resident; U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available.
