About The Position

Summary: We are seeking talented students who are interested in paid summer internship opportunities within the New York Mets’ front office. Ideal candidates have a long-term goal of working in professional sports. The Summer Internship Program is designed for qualified students who are entering their rising Junior or Senior year of college. The Interns selected will make a significant contribution to the organization during the 2026 season. In addition to the Strategy & Analytics department, you will be able to explore other aspects of the business through joint projects, participation in lunch & learns, and various networking events. Program Length/Schedule: The internship will run from June 1st through August 7th, 2026. Candidates must be fully available for the duration of the internship. Work location will be on-site at Citi Field, Flushing, NY 11368. Please note game day and special event responsibilities include late nights and weekends. If you are selected to participate in the interview process, the first round will include a digital interview. The New York Mets will not be providing housing for the internship. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data related to ticketing, marketing, partnerships, and consumer products. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL, Tableau, and other analytical tools. Conduct ad hoc data analyses to answer questions related to revenue, growth, game attendance, and fan behavior. Assist with the development of business cases and presentations for internal stakeholders. Contribute insights, observations, and recommendations based on attendance in team meetings. Qualifications: Some knowledge of Major League Baseball rules, history and players. Past coursework in data analysis, data visualization, or statistical modeling. Strong self-starter attitude, with preference given to those who have applied their academic learnings for personal projects or hobbies. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment. Must be able to work and interact well with others (fellow interns, executives, front office staff, athletes, fans, corporate clients, etc.). Excellent oral and written communication skills.
