About The Position

Public Affairs & Access is a multi-disciplinary organization that includes Access Solutions & Patient Support; Channel & Contract Management; Corporate Communications; External Affairs; Patient Strategy; Policy, Evidence, & Access Strategy; and Strategic Business Operations. Contracts Strategy Implementation (CSI) is a team of business leaders actively shaping the development and strategic implementation of managed care contract strategies to produce strong access and business outcomes for our patients, organization, and customers. This position is based in South San Francisco, CA, On-Site. CSI is looking for an intern to help optimize our operations, focusing on the Provider segment and National Payer/PBM team execute against our 2026 business outcomes by helping: Update CSI Provider segment process documents, resource materials, and playbooks to improve efficiency and ensure alignment with legal and contractual obligations. Identify areas to protect revenue pertaining to duplicate price concessions that may be paid to National Payer/PBM/GPO customers. Propose recommendations that improve processes related to contract management and administration (such as Formulary Rebate Validation) to reduce manual processes while continuing to deliver against revenue protection goals and maintain product access for customers and patients. Program Highlights Intensive 12-weeks , full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June (Summer) A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or are within 2-years of graduation from their last degree.
  • Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Law, Communications
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal), collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Process improvement, process documentation experience using Google Suite products
  • Achieving results within a defined timeframe
