This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in delivering innovative banking solutions and exceptional client service in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Program Highlights 10–12-week summer internship providing immersive experience within Private Retail and Digital Banking teams. Learning & Development: Access a variety of learning platforms to support your professional growth. What You’ll Be Doing Please note, this is a general application to the CIBC intern program. More details about the team and position will be shared during interviews.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a US-based college student, graduating in December 2026 or later.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills combined with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and a commitment to clients, colleagues, and the communities we serve.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word required; experience with digital platforms, data analysis, or project management tools is a plus.
  • Interest in digital innovation, client service, and retail banking.

Responsibilities

  • Support Client-Facing Teams: Assist in day-to-day operations of retail and digital banking, including account management, client onboarding, and service delivery.
  • Digital Banking Projects: Participate in the development and testing of new digital banking features, mobile app enhancements, and online banking solutions.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze client data and banking trends to support business decisions and improve the client experience.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Client Engagement: Help prepare presentations, reports, and digital content to support client meetings and outreach initiatives.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on digital banking trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks and special projects to support the broader team and business objectives.
  • Learning & Networking: Engage in learning sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities to broaden your understanding of retail and digital banking.
