Who We're Looking For We are seeking a highly motivated and technically curious Electronics & AI Hardware Integration Intern to contribute to advanced projects within our [Company Name/Industry, e.g., manufacturing, R&D] environment. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience across hardware development, software integration, and AI-driven automation.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in and have successfully completed the sophomore year (or equivalent) of an accredited bachelor’s degree program in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
Maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a long-term basis without the need for current or future employer-sponsored immigration status. This includes, but is not limited to, H-1B, OPT, O-1, TN Visas, or any other employment-based immigration sponsorship.
Ability to commit to full-time employment (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on-site at our Camas, WA location for the entire duration of the internship program.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented spirit.
Proactive and self-motivated learner with a strong desire for active engagement and continuous improvement.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic business environment.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), computer proficiency, presentation skills, and active listening abilities are essential for contributing effectively to team projects and TSMC Washington’s culture.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and design principles.
Prior experience or coursework demonstrating proactive collaboration and teamwork in project-based settings.
Experience in presenting and discussing work and ideas within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Hardware Development & Prototyping: Engaging in the full hardware lifecycle, including component sourcing and vendor communication, soldering, and printed circuit board (PCB) development.
Camera-Based Vision System Implementation: Developing and deploying camera-based systems for real-time recognition and classification of part characteristics, directly impacting quality control and operational efficiency.
Automated Reporting & Analytics Integration: Creating automated reports for kit type and location, integrating with analytics software to provide actionable insights for operational improvements.
AI Data Source Expansion: Expanding and refining AI data sources with a focus on implementing quick, impactful solutions to enhance system accuracy and performance.
