Global Operations Planning Systems Analyst Intern Summer 2026 Masimo is looking for a summer intern to join our Global Operations Planning and Analysis team. Job Summary: The Global Operations Planning Systems Analyst Intern supports and improves forecasting, production planning, inventory management, and broader supply chain operations by managing key tools, processes, and data analysis. The intern collaborates cross-functionally to define requirements and perform system solution design, development, testing, reporting, and automation.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, MS Project.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Oracle, Expandable ERP, or Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro systems.
  • Fair understanding of Demand Planning, MRP, Production Planning, Material Planning, Distribution Planning, Inventory Planning, and Procurement processes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of supply chain principles, statistical forecasting models, and demand forecasting techniques.
  • Strong quantitative, statistical, and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to evaluate what-if scenarios using metrics and scorecards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy with experience in software applications, data management tools, and databases
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Results- and process-oriented mindset, focused on continuous improvement to drive higher performance levels.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all management levels

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.), Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Must be a current university student to qualify as an intern.
  • Alum candidates and students graduating May/June 2026 are not eligible for intern opportunities.

  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate forecasting systems, tools, and processes to identify opportunities for refinement, optimization, and enhancement.
  • Analyze the existing capacity and constraints in system to review the production plan across all manufacturing sites.
  • Develop tools to automate tasks related to forecasting, KPI reporting, etc.
  • Assist with new product categorization and planning parameters, such as production models, build types, forecast types, and product tiers.
  • Automate safety stock calculations across all part levels to optimize finished goods inventory in alignment with Masimo’s global production, distribution, and inventory strategies.
  • Utilize Masimo’s planning system (Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro) to support departmental objectives and support new system enhancement projects.
  • Analyze gaps between updated demand plans and existing capacity and constraints.
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis for business reporting and lead special projects as required.
  • Ensure data integration and integrity between native operations business systems and tools.
  • Support the full system and tool development lifecycle, including user requirements gathering, design, development, testing, launch, training, and communication for issue resolution and enhancements.
  • Maintain home-grown operations planning tools and Kinaxis R&R/Maestro MRP systems.
  • Collaborate with IT/IS to develop and improve planning and operations tools and systems, optimizing operational management analysis functionality.
  • Provide user training on systems, applications, and reports.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Create documentation of any new processes being implemented
