ICF’s Disaster Management division seeks interns to support specific recovery projects and functions for the Division , work ing alongside project teams to help state and local clients administer United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and United States Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funded programs. You will be exposed to a wide variety of experts across the firm including those who address issues related to infrastructure, disaster planning and recovery, financial management , construction, and housing . This is a full-time, 10-week internship expected to start early June 202 6 . The work may be fully remote from anywhere in the United States. At this time , we are unable to provide relocation or housing assistance. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour. A HUD Housing, Infrastructure, and Mitigation Internship may: Provide support to specific recovery projects and functions for the Division Work alongside project teams, helping state and local clients administer HUD CDBG-DR and Mitigation-funded disaster recovery programs. Interact with a wide variety of experts across the firm who address issues related to infrastructure, disaster planning and recovery, financial management , construction , and housing . Support project teams implementing HUD Disaster Recovery and Mitigation funded programs, helping to refine program procedures and processes for implementation Work with staff to set up systems and help interpret and apply disaster recovery regulations and policy Provide reconciliation, accounting, and supporting documentation for the assigned grants to ensure that each subrecipient will have an audit ready file Conduct reviews of supporting documentation for the assigned grants to ensure that each applicant or subrecipient receives an appropriate award for approved, federally funded programs Provide general assistance to applicants and subrecipients in preparing documentation, invoices, and information to request reimbursement for approved, federally funded programs Help develop written products and tools for grantee policies and procedures and program implementation and design Assist in the creation and maintenance of various documents, training materials, and presentations Assist with operational improvement initiatives and address operational problems as they arise Conduct program and policy research
