Masimo is looking for a summer intern to join our Hardware Engineering Department. Job Summary: This position will support the R&D engineering team by contributing to the design and implementation of the instrumentation for the electronic hardware utilized in Masimo's medical devices. Potential Teams: Applicants will be considered for one or more of the following Hardware Engineering teams. Sustainability Engineer ASIC Engineer
Requirements
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interface within a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting analog circuits.
- Experience with coding in C for embedded systems for board bring up.
- Experience with embedded firmware development using ST, Nordic, or Renesas.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Must be a current university student to qualify as an intern. Alum candidates and students graduating May/June 2026 are not eligible for intern opportunities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with antennae and RF a plus.
- Experience working with IoT devices a plus.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to design throughout the hardware lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Assist with developing systems and printed circuit boards (PCB).
- Assist with PCB layout and schematic entry.
- Perform hardware verification testing.
