About The Position

As a Summer 2026 Process/Quality Engineer intern, you will be placed in one of the two networks described below: Ambient or Grocery. The Ambient team applies new network Process Guide playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities for a regenerative future. The Grocery engineering team supports the growing needs of the grocery distribution center network through leading savings projects within their area of responsibility. This role involves designing, implementing, and improving engineered solutions, performing industry research, and managing vendor relationships throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program currently.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027.

  • Majors in Industrial & Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Supply Chain Management, and other relevant majors.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and improve engineered solutions.
  • Use a process-driven and methodical mindset to improve processes.
  • Perform industry research to identify new programs and industry partners.
  • Identify short-term and long-term opportunities within Walmart’s End-to-End Supply Chain.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and demonstrate financial impact.
  • Manage vendor relationships and program portfolios throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the team’s strategy by developing business cases and communicating findings at all levels of leadership.
