About The Position

As an intern in Fabrication Design, you will have the chance to develop your vehicle or product design skills. You will work with engineering practices and contribute to the building of running and nonrunning models. Your role will involve supporting fabrication engineering for both interior and exterior models. Please note, you must submit a Portfolio to be considered for this position – See Instructions Below.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design
  • Must be graduating Dec 2026 – May 2028
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of digital software such as Alias Design or other CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical skills to solve complex problems.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Previous experience in fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Digital surfacing for proof of concept and proof of concept (POC) models.
  • Developing b-side and building surface data for show vehicle fabrication.
  • Building sections based on collected information.
  • Assisting studio personnel in solving engineering and design problems.
  • Creating and maintaining assemblies for diverse projects.
  • Performing basic assessment of surface quality.
