The Department of Discovery Oncology at Genentech seeks a highly talented and motivated intern to investigate fundamental mechanisms of cellular stress and adaptive responses in cancer-relevant model systems. The intern will contribute to ongoing discovery research efforts by applying molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques (in particular chromatin biology techniques such as ATAC-seq and ChIP-seq) to characterize stress-associated transcriptional responses. This position provides hands-on experience in experimental biology embedded within a translational research environment, with exposure to how basic mechanistic insight supports therapeutic discovery. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, onsite.
