About The Position

CIBC's Summer Internship Program is a dynamic, 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Centered around the core theme of Learn, Connect, Grow, the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network. As a Communications intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting the communications team in organizing and delivering impactful messaging that advances the strategic goals of the US Region and its lines of business/functional groups. You will contribute to the planning and timing of communications across relevant channels and assist in managing digital assets to enhance communication strategies. You will build your network by collaborating with colleagues across the bank, engaging with fellow interns, and interacting with executive leadership. Additionally, you will benefit from mentorship, leadership support, and community outreach initiatives, while developing essential soft and hard skills to advance your future career.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027 in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and partnership mindset.
  • Thoroughness in execution and follow-through.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.
  • Conceptual thinker with the ability to connect ideas to actionable solutions.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
