About The Position

2026 Summer Intern - CMG DDA - MBA Department Summary The Genentech Graduate Internship Program is an intensive 10-12 week opportunity that provides work within a fast-paced and challenging environment. Interns contribute to meaningful projects, interacting and working side by side with biotech industry experts. Our internship program also provides a robust speaker series, which allows interns to hear from top executives throughout the summer. Genentech relies heavily on our internship talent pool to fill full-time positions. Commercial Interns are a pipeline for future opportunities. In addition to direct hire positions, Genentech also has a robust Commercial Rotation Development Program (CRDP) for those specifically interested in future marketing roles. CRDP provides the opportunity for high potential future leaders to gain exposure to functions that are critical to Genentech’s Commercial organization and set the foundation for their marketing career. U.S. Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) Data, Digital, and Analytics (DDA) plays a crucial role in delivering better health outcomes for patients while lowering overall health costs by partnering across the health care system. The group's primary focus is to deliver more medicines to eligible patients, faster. The development and implementation of commercial strategies involves collaboration across a variety of teams with dedicated expertise. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, CA, On-site. The Opportunity Responsibilities will vary depending on function and current level of experience. Market Research and Insights Generation: Working with a specific brand or therapeutic area, you will be tasked with uncovering insights to help address a barrier for patients and drive business value. Digital Marketing Production: Working on a specific digital tactic pull through that reaches our customers, you will be tasked with providing production support for content that reaches HCPs and patients. Product and Data Management: Digital solutions power both internal employees and customers to resolve problems more quickly and efficiently. You will be part of the product or data team that delivers on these solutions to users everyday. Analytical Product Management: The analytics intern will apply advanced analytical skills to scout, test, and demonstrate new technology tools, enabling the team to generate unified, actionable insights from both structured and unstructured data. Requirements

  • Must be current enrolled in an accredited graduate program or a recent graduate of a graduate program with 2 years of work experience prior to graduate school (Graduate programs include MBA, PhD, JD, MD, MPH, MS, and Master's in Data Science)
  • Required majors MBA, Masters in Data Science, Masters in Science
  • Work experience before graduate school in consulting, finance, marketing, sales, life sciences, healthcare, consumer business, or drug development
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in effectively interacting with executives and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills
