Requirements

• Working towards a degree in actuarial science or other mathematical field of study.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 and above.
• Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to learn.
• Familiarity with Excel is required.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated interest in actuarial science through participation in the Casualty Actuarial Society exam process.
• Experience with VBA for Excel, Tableau, SQL, R, Python or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the profitability of reinsurance proposals by employing sound actuarial techniques and business acumen.
• Work closely with the company’s underwriting staff.
• Shadow and learn from experienced actuarial professionals.
• Build and improve upon pricing models used by the Department.
• Develop dashboards with data visualization tools to relay pertinent information to clients.
• Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and department.
