Department Overview The Private Market Direct Desk sits within Raymond James Global Wealth Solutions and provides sophisticated institutional clients with access to an extensive range of private investment opportunities across asset classes such as private equity, private credit, private market secondaries and mezzanine opportunities. Job Summary Private Market Direct (PMD) is seeking a summer associate to support the desk’s distribution, originations and operations functions. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for the financial markets to join our team for a full-time summer associate experience. Being a summer associate on the PMD Desk will provide hands-on experience, valuable networking opportunities, as well as the chance to learn from experts in the wealth management and financial services industries. Our summer associate will gain practical exposure to deal origination, investment analysis, relationship management, sales processes, and KPI analysis. We value the contributions made by our summer associate to the team and work closely with them to identify areas for their further career development. The summer associate position is a temporary role. Start Date: Monday, June 1, 2026 End Date: Friday, August 7, 2026 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • Financial markets and products.
  • Skill in MS Office suite of products, including Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of service and responsiveness in a calm and professional manner.
  • Work independently.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Freshman or Sophomore standing (December 2027-May 2029 graduates) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
  • Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with special research projects.
  • Prepare reports and analysis used in management presentations and other reporting materials.
  • Update prospective deal pipeline and synthesize internal factsheets.
  • Assist in tracking revenues and generating invoices for any monies owed by sponsors or other parties.
  • Support interactions between PMD desk and financial advisors to facilitate the investment process and provide solutions to technical questions.
  • Prepare letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing financial advisors and clients consummating transactions.
  • Create and maintain records and files necessary for the operation of the business.
  • Assists team members with marketing efforts including presentations, advisor/client launch emails, webinars, etc.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
