About The Position

KPFF is seeking summer interns interested in experiencing the daily life of a Structural Engineer. We provide you with a summer packed with training programs to prepare you to be successful, activities to help you connect with our team, and real-world projects to apply your skills. At KPFF, 2 out of 3 of our interns return as full-time employees or return for another internship in the next year.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structures or Architectural Engineering) prior to the start of the internship.
• Transcripts must show completed courses in Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, Concrete, Steel or Wood Design.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in structural design, working closely with experienced engineers on real-world projects.
• Assist in the preparation of calculations and construction documents on active jobs under the guidance of project leaders.
• Participate in project meetings and site visits.

• Pay rate of $31.50 an hour for interns awarded a bachelor's degree prior to the start of the internship.
