This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Structural Dynamics team within the Western Region Vehicle and Software Engineering Directorate.

Requirements

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.
The candidate must:
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
Be majoring in STEM Degree
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Nice To Haves

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Development/completion of structural dynamics design and analysis using advanced numerical solutions and typical software/tools (NASTRAN/FEMAP/VAONE/MATLAB) to complete analyses related to environments such as vibration, acoustic, and shock.
Establishment and review of critical dynamic environments for requirements, analysis, and verification.
Completing analyses and establishing parameters for dynamics testing; Dynamics test monitoring and data processing, correlation of predictive models to test results
Preparation of technical documents and presentations
