About The Position

KeyBank's B2B Internship is a 16-week program that provides meaningful work, offers feedback and coaching, and creates engaging events and conversations that will spark excitement and interest in learning how B2B marketing drives revenue and supports multiple businesses throughout the enterprise. Interns are involved in a host of specific projects that directly impact and benefit Key's business and strategic pillars. The program includes networking with Key teammates across many levels of the organization, and an assigned mentor who will shares knowledge, experience, and advice. As an intern with our B2B marketing team, you'll work with industry and product experts across a wide variety of teams, including branding, conferences and sponsorships, creative, digital, and marketing analytics. You'll gain an understanding of our clients and prospects and provide consultation on effective use of marketing and use your knowledge to provide recommendations on tactics to achieve marketing objectives.

Requirements

  • Must have completed at least two years toward a four-year undergraduate degree program with coursework in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.0 GPA)
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities
  • Bring solid analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Data & Research Skills

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience with knowledge of any of the following: Marketing Analytics Tools including Google or Adobe Analytics, Tableau or Power BI, and/or advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS
  • Digital Marketing Platforms, including content management systems and email marketing tools

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing managers in creating marketing plans and executing programs
  • Work with marketing managers to understand scope and context of projects for each line of business and assist in bringing projects to fruition
  • Research competition by marketing functioning by performing gap analysis along with recommendations for consideration by the branding/marketing channel
  • Assist in maintaining budget updates and spreadsheets where appropriate
