About The Position

Digital Intern (AI Regulatory Review) The Digital Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the Regulatory Affairs team by building and optimising AI agents designed to streamline regulatory review processes. Working at the intersection of technology and compliance, this position offers the opportunity to apply cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions to real-world regulatory challenges. The intern will collaborate closely with regulatory experts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop tools that enhance document analysis, automate compliance checks, and improve overall efficiency. Curiosity about digital innovation and an interest in regulatory frameworks are essential for success in this role. A true passion for digitalization and working on AI Tools is a must.

Requirements

  • Student currently in a Bachelor Program in Computer Science, Data Science, or comparable Digital AI degree
  • Knowledge and experience of working on AI tools and Data Science based projects.
  • Broad knowledge and interest FDA, Regulatory Affairs and/or Quality Assurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting skills and ability to find creative solutions
  • Ability to work successfully both independently and in a ‘team-based’ collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and optimisation of AI-powered agents to automate regulatory review processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory, data science, and business teams to design and implement digital tools that streamline document analysis and compliance checks.
  • Support the integration of artificial intelligence solutions into existing Business processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness within the Regulatory Affairs function.
  • Participate in the pilot development of the AI Agents to also assist in the other R&D areas.
  • Conduct research on emerging digital technologies and regulatory trends to inform innovation and maintain best practices in AI-driven compliance.
  • Contribute to testing and validation of AI tools, ensuring outputs meet regulatory requirements and Unilever’s quality standards.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects, providing technical support and digital expertise to enhance the Regulatory Affairs team’s AI knowledge.
