This individual will be responsible for servicing real estate clients and managing multi entity portfolios of properties, both commercial and/or residential. Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Master's degree in accounting, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
  • 0-2 years recent public accounting experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location
  • Final Graduation Date of Dec 2026 – Sept 2027
  • Strong academic track record (Minimum GPA: 3.0)

Responsibilities

  • Make appropriate journal entries to record mortgage, payroll, utilities, management fees, property insurance and property taxes and other cash transactions
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Submit wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers
  • Prepare monthly billing statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations (operating, security deposit, escrow accounts)
  • Perform reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts
  • Perform in-depth review of the income statement
  • Perform monthly financial review, accrual accounting and GL reclasses
  • Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly financial statement package for ownership to include balance sheet, profit & loss statement, statement of cash flows (if applicable)
  • Prepare quarterly financial reporting to fulfill lender compliance requirements
  • Maintain related schedules (property insurance and taxes, compliance, etc.)
  • Act as liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, provide research data and information as requested, and answer questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.
  • Maintain job costing schedules and prepare construction draw packages
  • Maintain task management and workpapers
