We have an exciting opportunity for a Material and Process Engineer II to join our Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Product Development Engineering team supporting multiple product lines in CMC factory. Additionally, the individual will be involved with design analyses, and incorporate positive changes to the assembly and test process to ensure hardware success during Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) and New Product Integration (NPI) efforts. This individual will work with a cross-functional team including manufacture engineers, quality engineers, tooling engineers, operation value stream, and program authority to resolve pressing producibility issues. The Material and Process Engineering team within McKinney, TX drives business success by providing engineering expertise to solve today's problems in multiple domains. The engineer is expected to be an enabler where engineering solutions had to be offered both in reactive and proactive mode on a day-to-day basis. Your end goal should be to generate an engineering solution that can be streamlined and executed with minimal interruptions, this expectation resides with both assembly manufacturing and testing capabilities. As a Material and Process Engineer II, you are expected to work in ISO7 and ISO8 cleanroom environment where all the current and upcoming EO/IR programs are going take in place, it is also expected that the process that you are developing can be successfully integrated into cleanroom without causing degradation to the health of the cleanroom environments.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • Experience with mechanical assembly and/or technical datasheets.

Nice To Haves

  • Major in Chemical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Material science.
  • Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE) troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Demonstrated multi-discipline collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Commit daily production supports, ensure process streamline and continuously seek process improvements that can reduce cost, rework frequencies and HPU.
  • Utilize agile problem-solving technique to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Support program integration from design to Full Rate Production (FRP).
  • Be a part of rapid response team that address factory manufacture process interruption.
