The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). The SPY-6 Family of Radars and the GhostEye family of radars are seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to help in the execution of integration and analysis activities. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for helping to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify the solutions are implemented as designed. This role will require communication skills to convey solutions and results to teammates and leadership. This position is an onsite role in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA and may require occasional travel.

  • Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
  • Develop radar processing algorithm
  • Develop Radar software requirements
  • Be responsible for statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
  • Be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
  • Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior year by the start of summer 2026
  • Experience with tools, such as MATLAB/Python or C++
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain and maintain program access as required
  • Specific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline
  • 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Experience or coursework in System Design Modeling and Simulation experience
  • Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
  • Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
  • Proven strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
