Requirements

  • Requires a Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.
  • Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets.
  • Experience developing or simulating physical systems.
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions.
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • College coursework covering object-oriented programming with proficiency in Linux or Unix.
  • Knowledge/course work of radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, control theories, estimation theory and/or electro optics.
  • Knowledge of physics, random variables, and its application to solving engineering problems.
  • Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and analyze simulations in a high-performance computing environment, which can include the use of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), to support missile system design/trade studies, performance assessment, and system test.
  • Work within a team to develop analysis of the data for the specific task as well as provide insight and understanding of the system performance, recognizing and troubleshooting any anomalies observed in the simulation results.
  • Ensure the solutions provided meet their defined requirements and function as needed through rigorous verification and validation.
