In this role, you will become an integral member of the Houston Power, Energy & Infrastructure Banking Group, joining a small team which provides financial advisory services to Lazard's clients. Our Houston office is one of the primary hubs of our global energy practice, which is active in: Oil & Gas Exploration and Production, Midstream, Refining & Marketing, Oilfield Services, Renewables & Energy Transition, Sustainable Fuels, Engineering, Procurement & Construction ("EPC"), Agriculture and Mining. Day-to-day activities of Summer Associates are dependent on your prior experience and abilities, and include: financial analysis and modeling, the creation and preparation of client presentations and marketing materials, and interaction with clients, among other things.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of prior work experience
  • Currently matriculated at a MBA or JD and within two years of graduation
  • Top academic performance
  • Motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise
  • Strong quantitative background
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • This opportunity is located in Houston and an interest in working in Houston is necessary.
