Job Description Candidates must be currently located within a hour drive of our San Antonio, TX location. Learning Objectives: Dive into the action as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Intern! You'll be right on the front lines, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our elite SOC analysts, incident responders, and threat hunters. This is your chance to directly defend Motorola Solutions’ customers against the latest threats, from stealthy malware and crippling ransomware to sophisticated threat actors! Get ready for a hands-on keyboard experience! You will build foundational skills in uncovering threats, deciphering complex network traffic, and honing in on security threats. Learn the playbook of cyber attackers and how to spot the crucial signs of compromise—this is where your cybersecurity career truly begins!

Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently located within a hour drive of our San Antonio, TX location.
  • Basic understanding of networking, including common protocols, either through coursework or self-study.
  • Ability to read and comprehend a scripting language.
  • Familiarity with fundamental concepts of operating systems (Windows and Linux).
  • Demonstrate independent problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness (e.g., effective use of search engines like Google).
  • Eager to advance technical skills.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and growth, with a willingness to embrace challenges.
  • Must be currently pursuing a degree with a focus on Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Computer Science
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
