About The Position

As a member of our team, your primary contribution will be supporting missions for space exploration, operational prototypes and manufacturing science. You will be joining a hardworking team of engineers and scientists who manufacture flight hardware and develop prototypes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the fabrication of advanced prototype, configured, and flight hardware in one or more of the following areas: composites, polymer bonding and molding, silicones processing or metal additive manufacturing Assisting in fabrication includes tasks such as preparation of metal additive builds, polymer additive, metal, and foam molds, composite layup and vacuum bagging, castings, demolding, manual trim and drill operations, and bonding assemblies. You will provide input and design support for mechanical manufacturing. You will review engineering drawings and participate in internal reviews for manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
  • Have a passion for fabricating complex hardware and prototypes.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subjected to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Have experience fabricating complex hardware.
  • Have experience working in a shop environment.

Responsibilities
