Requirements

  • Currently pursuing University degree in EHS, Safety, or related discipline
  • First practical experience in manufacturing company during studies especially in environment, health, safety or fire prevention a plus
  • Presentation skills
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI) analysis, MIOSHA recordkeeping and reporting experience welcome
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities to meet all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards established by applicable law or regulation
  • Develop EHS projects to help improve and enable improved safety, energy and wellness programs
  • Run environmental reporting (waste & energy), identify improvement opportunities and implement them
  • Manage all health-related activities in collaboration with the EHS Leadership locally
  • Support managers in implementation of safety-related issues like risk assessment
  • Run safety report, analyze accidents and derive measures
  • Contact person for safety related issues with technical focus in context with new project starts
  • Ensure realization of fire safety requirements
  • Support selection of personal protective equipment
  • Assist improvements on the Kautex EHS Wiki (internal information page)
  • Continuous participation in trainings related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) topics
