As a Chemistry Intern at APL you will… Work collaboratively with other APL staff to support and conduct chemistry research. Responsibilities to include sample preparation, preparing and mixing formulations, data manipulation and analysis, experimental planning and execution, and participation in problem solving. Communicate daily with project teams to support programmatic needs, participate in discussion of ideas, options and approaches, and report work progress in both oral and written form.

Requirements

  • Are an undergraduate student in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other closely related field.
  • Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Are a US citizen or permanent resident. To access APL’s facilities and networks, US Citizenship or permanent resident status is required, subject to applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Have previous laboratory experience with chemistry research.
  • Have an understanding of how to utilize published resources for research.
  • Have good hands-on laboratory skills.
