Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Effector RF Products Department is seeking current college students for an RF Mechanical internship position. In this role, the candidate would support the development of RF products and technologies including antennas, RF electronics, and supporting test equipment as part of a multi-discipline team. A successful candidate is one with the skillset and passion required to solve complex engineering problems, properly apply engineering tools and processes, and leverage knowledge from previous coursework and projects. Experience or studies in any of the following areas improve the fit of the candidate for the RF Mechanical internship position: 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawing creation, prototype fabrication, electronics packaging, test fixture design, circuit layout, hardware integration and testing, analysis (e.g. structural or thermal FEA, tolerance analysis, etc.). All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Interns perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects, and will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to “shadow” experienced professionals in order to learn about real industry positions. This position is located in Tucson, AZ and is an on-site role.
