We are pleased to announce the Summer 2026 RVS Internship Program, offering students a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and practical skills. This program will feature a cohort of talented individuals from multiple disciplines, including Engineering, Operations, and Business Development. Participants will engage in meaningful, hands-on projects, gaining insights into RVS operations with opportunities across a multitude of factories including cutting-edge semiconductor fabs, precision alignment work cells, Industry 4.0 automation cells, thin films deposition labs, and a variety of other exciting technologies. The program provides opportunities for professional development, networking, and collaboration with peers, leaders, and employees across the organization. Additionally, interns will enjoy a variety of engaging and interactive events designed to enhance their overall experience. Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications. We have an opportunity for a Process Engineering intern to join our team in Goleta, California.

Requirements

  • Must be at least a sophomore by the start of summer 2026 pursuing a degree of in Physics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or closely related engineering field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
  • Previous manufacturing / process engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Support Operations Engineering team to drive continuous improvement and production sustainment projects across the manufacturing engineering organization.
  • Determine the causes of defects and improve processes through updates to work instructions, tooling, process, or equipment, present results of investigations to peers and management.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and gain exposure to the different facets of cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing.
  • Apply skills learned in an academic setting to solve real world engineering problems in an advanced manufacturing environment.
