Our Cybersecurity team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Intern to support our classified computing environment in Andover, Massachusetts. As an intern, you will work closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Assessment and Authorization Guide (DAAG) and Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) policies, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in cybersecurity and information systems security. This role is onsite at our Andover, MA Facility

Requirements

  • Must be at least a junior by the start of summer 2026 pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or Mathematics.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
  • Enthusiasm for creative thinking and complex problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring system compliance and auditing within a classified environment.
  • Support the development of security plans and assist in delivering security awareness and education programs.
  • Help identify information system security violations and contribute to creating reports for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the facility security team, program personnel, and government representatives.
  • Participate in security sustainment activities including hardware/software change management and account management.
  • Participate in organization project during internship.
