This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Ogden UT.

Requirements

  • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Industrial Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Industrial and Operations Engineering, or Industrial and Systems Engineering.
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Nice To Haves

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
  • Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Establishes or assists in establishing accident prevention measures.
  • Manages training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • Develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Assists facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Benefits

  • Intern Pay Range: Bachelors: $22.25 - $27.25 per hour.
  • Masters: $32.00 to $33.75 per hour.
