About The Position

The New York Life Summer Internship experience offers an exciting opportunity for rising juniors and seniors looking to gain exposure to a corporate environment. As part of your summer, you'll participate in learning and development activities, gaining insight into our business and how our company functions. The summer internship program also includes additional social and networking opportunities where you will be able to expand your network with peers, mentors and senior leaders. The Summer Internship opportunity is 10 weeks long, beginning Monday June 1st, 2026, and concluding Thursday, August 6, 2026. Interns will work on a hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays remotely. Internship opportunities may be located in: New York, NY, White Plains, NY or Jersey City, NJ. Location is dependent upon the exact team you are aligned to; however, you will be able to specify your preferences on the job application.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at an accredited 4-year university or college with anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Innovative mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior internship experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Join New York Life's Human Resources team and gain hands-on experience in shaping the future of our workforce.
  • Assist with strategic recruitment efforts and candidate experience initiatives in Talent Acquisition.
  • Contribute to content creation, social media strategy, and campaigns that highlight our culture in Employer Branding.
  • Partner on programs focused on employee engagement, performance, and development in Talent Management.
  • Support initiatives that advance inclusion across the organization through programming, partnering with Employee Resource Groups (ERGS) in the DEI Center.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $25/hour
  • Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
