Requirements

  • Rising senior (completed 3 years toward a bachelor's degree) pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a curiosity to learn and apply new concepts in real-time business scenarios.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to organize, analyze, and present information clearly.
  • Willingness to engage in client-facing, results-driven work and contribute to a fast-paced, professional sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Join a dynamic 10-week summer internship program (mid-June to early August) designed to immerse you in the fast-paced world of Sales and Account Management at NYL GBS.
  • Contribute directly to the success of your assigned sales office strengthening the team's ability to reach financial targets.
  • Gain firsthand experience in Field Sales and Account Management by working closely with a local office team.
  • Learn about the NYL GBS product suite and key business areas, including Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Provide support for your local sales office by learning and utilizing platforms such as Salesforce, BenefitFlow, Tableau, and Generative AI platforms including Microsoft Co-Pilot and Chat GPT.
  • Receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced Account Executives and/or Sales Representatives, engage with senior leaders through speaker events and networking sessions.
  • Collaborate with interns nationwide on a capstone project that hones your problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork abilities.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $25 per hour.
  • Overtime eligible: Nonexempt.
  • Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes.
  • Annual discretionary bonus eligibility.
