About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Functions Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. As our Company continues to increase its global footprint and accessibility to customers and patients, the Global Security Group (GSG) continues to take prudent measures to protect and secure our company and our people, products, trade secrets, intellectual property, reputation, and operations on a global scale. In doing so, GSG protects the Company from a variety of hazards with the goal of providing a competitive advantage by minimizing the impact of security risks and maximizing the opportunity for the Company to do business in a safe and effective manner. This intern position will be assigned to work with GSG's Workplace Violence (WPV) team. The team responds to urgent, and sensitive matters across the Company, and takes timely action as per policies and procedures to adequately mitigate, resolve, escalate, or otherwise appropriately address the issue at hand.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University majoring in Behavioral Science, Neuroscience, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Resources, Communications, Health Professions, Human Services, Nursing, or other relevant coursework.
  • Students who have completed at least two years of university studies toward their degree.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • People skills that include flexibility and the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor ongoing and emerging issues pertaining to WPV cases.
  • Assist in creating Global Workplace Violence training and education programs for various domestic and international audiences.
  • Assist with the development of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Contribute to other projects as needed.
