About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. Specimen Lifecycle Management (SLM) is the end‑to-end management of clinical specimens and associated data—from planning and collection through long‑term storage and final disposition—providing the tools, oversight, and processes that enable study teams to reconcile specimens efficiently and maintain chain of custody and compliance. SLM engages across stakeholder groups to drive efficiency and better ways of working for lab services and the specimens that are needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Biomedical/Bioengineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable facilitating discussions and following up across multiple groups.
  • Curiosity, organization, and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis or reporting tools/dashboards.
  • Technology‑related coursework or comfort level (for example: database management, web technologies, or project management tools).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Technology initiatives such as supporting collecting stakeholder requirements and planning for standard reports/dashboards and notifications that help study and regional teams monitor specimen status and reconcile data.
  • Partner on documentation quality by reviewing and improving user guides and quick‑start materials used by specimen stakeholders.
  • Assist with educational content for employees (e.g., specimen education modules) and help maintain/improve the specimen SharePoint site.
  • Engage across functions—Central Labs, Specialty Labs, Study teams—and with external lab suppliers to gather inputs, resolve questions, and drive progress on assigned work.
  • Broaden your understanding of the business areas involved in Laboratory services and specimen technology and how they intersect with clinical operations.
  • Strengthen project management and communication skills while translating between business needs and IT/operations.
  • Grow your teamwork capabilities and learn/share new ways of working in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment.
