About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. Clinical Data Management, Early Development (EDEV) is looking for a talented and motivated student for our Summer internship. The selected individual will assist with projects supporting process improvement, data analysis, or other initiatives not related to standard clinical trial support. Working alongside experienced members of the team, the EDEV intern will assist with assignments to analyze and evaluate processes and operational data, propose innovative resolutions, and execute project plans provided by management. The specific project(s) will be determined based on the abilities of the intern and the immediate needs of the EDEV group. Clinical Data Management is the activity of providing attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, accurate, and statistically-sound data from clinical trials. It is the process of collection, cleaning, and management of subject data in compliance with regulatory standards. The goal of these practices is to ensure the conclusions drawn from research are well supported by the data. As part of the Global Data Management and Standards organization, the Clinical Data Management, Early Development (EDEV) intern position will expose the student to the discipline of Data Management and also various other disciplines in the practice of Clinical Development while working on one or more projects identified by management.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program, in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) or a similar major
  • Completed at least two (2) full years of an undergraduate degree program prior to the start of this internship
  • Able to work full-time for up to twelve (12) weeks beginning in May or June of the year of the internship
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to manage and own deliverables
  • Self-starter, fast learner, and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Able to manage and independently drive projects to completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot)
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
  • Proficiency in AI tools

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated record of strong academic achievement, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Self-motivated, excellent in work planning and time management
  • Fluent oral and written English skills
  • Able to work under pressure and in a changing environment with flexibility
  • Good communication skills, and able to communicate with both technical and business areas
  • Familiarity with medical and/or clinical research terminology
